o Power-on the computer (s) Setup the AEBSn. On your Mac, click the Wi-Fi status icon in the. The router will automatically power on after being connected to. o Power-on the AEBSn Wait at least 5 minutes. I am wondering if i need to actually set up the machine before i evaluate what color the LED is or whether it is flashing. o Power-off the Cable modem, AEBSn, & computer (s) Wait at least 30 minutes. I am thinking to simply remove my TIME CAPSULE from everything so the data cannot get corrupted and so i can SET UP this device but i am not sure if i am simply wasting my time.ĭoes that question make sense? or was it answered earlier and i missed it? I am under the impression i need to do a FULL SETUP before i get the green light and that i won't get a green light until i set it up on the network. So i have not gone through the full setup. In the first image i posted you can see the prompt where it says it is will REPLACE my time machine and the "base station" (associated with my TIME CAPSULE BACKUP) "will be reset to default settings". Downstream from this AE router, it is connected to a Giga-switch, from there it is linked to 3 Airport Extreme (setup as bridge) and 3 Airport Express (also setup as bridge), 2 printers, CCTV server, 2 apple TV all connected by LAN. i don't want to do something dumb with my data so i am trying to ask questions first. i had to STOP setup because it is giving me a prompt that is confusing to me with respect to my TIME CAPSULE backup. What i am trying to ask is that i have NOT gone through a setup for the device. I have also set each of these to be on a separate channel (1, 6, 11 on 2.4GHz and 36, 40, & 44 on 5GHz). They all have the same SSID defined with same security protocol and same password. All three are set up in the wireless section to: Create a wireless network. anyway, i understand that the solid amber (in this case it is now blinking amber) is not working. The 2nd two AirPorts are set up as Router ModeOff (Bridge Mode). for some reason i only see it in my email but not on the forum. The wireless router will connect to the wireless network, then bridge/connect the Ethernet devices on the routers ports, to the wireless network.
